Yessir, that's one of the 45th President's comments at one of his political rallies in Green Bay, Wisconsin on 27 April 2019. - "The USMC, like the song 'YMCA,' right?" - Somehow, I simply cannot equate a trade agreement, that is essentially NAFTA 2.0, with a song about gay men trolling the local YMCA for new friends…. Now, please don't get me wrong - I completely love the song when sung by The Village People. The beat, the lyrics, the huge grins of the singers, and the sassy glints in their eyes make it a truly great song - especially when you know the real meaning behind the lyrics (kinda like "In the Navy"). The problem is, I just don't think that 45 knows what's going on with the song… Would he really compare his USMCA with the song "YMCA" if he knew what he was saying?
At a G7 interview, 45 was asked: "What do you think the world should be doing about climate change? And do you still harbor that skepticism?"
The person's verbatim reply was: "I'm not going to lose that wealth. I'm not going lose it on dreams, on windmills - which, frankly, aren't working too well. I'm not going to lose it."
From the 26 August 2019 G7 press conference (also notice he left out the word "to" in the second sentence)….
After a break for applause at a rally in North Carolina on 17 July 2019, the 45th President said these three sentences back to back, without much of a pause:
"We had 14 seasons, think of that. The Apprentice. I proudly signed four bipartisan human trafficking laws securing $400 million to support victims of human trafficking."
How the hell do these two items fit together in coherent thought?
He's still claiming to have invented specific words - in El Paso, Texas, at a rally on 11 February 2019: "How about the word 'caravan?' Caravan? I think it was one of mine." He was speaking about groups of people from Central America seeking asylum in the United States.
At the Constitutional Political Action Committee meeting on 2 March 2019, he was speaking about his tax reform and his tariffs - "But I found some very old laws from when our country was rich - really rich. The old tariff laws - we had to dust them off; you could hardly see, they were so dusty." And then he rambled off to another short subject.
During a telephone call that was aired live on CNBC on 10 June 2019, the President said: "We are - if you look at China, China, as great as they are and they are great, they are near the capability of our geniuses in Silicon Valley that walk around in undershirts and they were not $2 billion a piece." - What the hell? How do those words connect into anything coherent? What were not $2 billion a piece? All all people in Silicon Valley geniuses? Does everyone walk around in undershirts there? Do they wear anything else? How does China tie in with undershirts in California?
And a statement by the 45th President at the El Paso, Texas rally on 11 February 2019, really does show everyone how he thinks. This is the statement, in its entirety: "So, someday, with all of us - this is all of us - and those hats are beautiful, by the way. Someday."
Of course the hats he was referring to were his red MAGA hats, made in China, which his supporters pay $25 to $50 for, which goes right back into 45's pockets. Of course he thinks they're beautiful….
